Jacob B. Priest is an associate professor and director of the Couple and Family Therapy program in the College of Education at the University of Iowa. He also holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Jacob received a B.S. in family studies from Weber State University, a M.S. in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Florida State University. He directs the LGBTQ Counseling Clinic in the College of Education, is the co-host of the Attached Podcast, and has a private practice at the Counseling Center of Iowa City.

Event Details

During this webinar, K-12 teachers and education professionals will explore the needs of students from an intersectionality framework with an emphasis placed on mental health at the intersections of multiple social identities.

 Learn ways in which heterosexism, cis-sexism, and racism impact the social-emotional and behavioral health of our students.

This webinar is #6 in an 8-part Social-Emotional-Behavioral Health series. Educators who register for and attend all 8 sessions in the series will earn one free teacher license renewal credit.
