Event Details

Everyone can play a part in preventing suicide.

Please join the U of I Suicide Prevention Task Force, Undergraduate Student Government, and the Scanlan Center for School Mental Health (SCSMH) Clinic for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

In this two-day, in-person workshop, U of I faculty, staff and students will learn how to prevent suicide by:

  • Recognizing possible signs
  • Providing skilled suicide intervention
  • Developing a safety plan to keep someone safe for now.

Participants are required to attend the full two- day workshop in-person. Lunch will be provided both days of training.

Only 40 spots are available, and will be on a first-come first-served basis.
