In this webinar, Dr. Nikolas will describe the symptoms and diagnosis of ADHD, with discussion of common misconceptions and myths as well as the limitations of current diagnostic and intervention frameworks.

Participants will learn about new findings related to factors that may (and may not) cause or contribute to ADHD, as well as what research has found regarding long-term outcomes for youth and adults.

Dr. Nikolas will also review helpful behavioral strategies for managing ADHD symptoms as well as information on other evidence-based interventions.

Following this session, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify the core symptoms and diagnostic process of ADHD.
  2. Recognize common myths and misconceptions about ADHD and their potential origins.
  3. Distinguish causal factors of ADHD that are supported by current research.
  4. Describe findings related to long-term outcomes of youth and adults with ADHD.
  5. Describe (and apply) common behavioral strategies and other evidence-based interventions for ADHD
