Introducing MoBeGo (Monitoring Behavior on the Go), a new digital app designed to help students stay engaged during class and manage disruptive behavior.

Decades of research show that self-monitoring helps students build the self-regulation skills they need to succeed, and MoBeGo makes that process efficient, effective, and enjoyable.

MoBeGo tracks and stores student behavioral data while applying expert level decision rules behind the scenes.

This functionality means less guesswork and database decision making and more time focused on helping students improve their behavior.

In a recent federally funded pilot study led by Dr. Allison Bruhn, MoBeGo’s research team tested the app on elementary school students.

Using simple tools such as goal-setting, progress monitoring, feedback, and positive reinforcement, all of which are build into the app, students were able to achieve promising results. In addition to increased productivity, teachers observed greater kindness and cooperation, along with reduced hyperactivity and disruptive behavior.

In 2026, the research team is expanding the study to additional sites in Iowa as well as Tennessee to better understand how the app benefits students.
