Participants practice trauma-informed strategies that promote safety, connection, co-regulation, and accountability. This evidence-supported session is designed to fulfill Iowa’s annual ACEs training requirement for eligible school personnel.
Learning Goals
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain how ACEs and toxic stress can affect brain development, learning, behavior, and relationships.
- Recognize when student behavior may reflect stress, trauma, or unmet needs rather than intentional noncompliance.
- Apply trauma-informed strategies that promote safety, connection, co-regulation, and accountability while maintaining clear expectations.

- Length: 60 minutes
- Cost: $625. For in-person sessions requiring trainer travel, the total cost will be adjusted to include travel expenses.
