Presenter: Ryan Kidder, Behavioral Health Clinician, Scanlan Center for School Mental Health

Description: During this presentation, participants will gain an understanding of the function of self-harm behaviors and why individuals engage in self-harm behaviors. Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of how skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy can be beneficial when working with individuals who engage in non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI).

Learning Goals: 1) Learn functions of self-harm behavior. 2) Increase knowledge of distress tolerance skills. 3) Gain advanced knowledge of mindfulness skills.
